Re: Protsenko, Vladimir Aleksandrovich, Electrician, 10th Tank Division/10th Air Army
It may be a good Idea to get his service record from the archive. With so many changes of specialisation as an EM, I wonder what he did as an officer?

It is top of the list of Service Records to do. I just have 40-50 more serial numbers to research and a handful of citations to request first. Slow and methodical but we'll get there in the end.
Backlog seems to be the keyword!

Re: Protsenko, Vladimir Aleksandrovich, Electrician, 10th Tank Division/10th Air Army
Here are two lists from mid-October 1941, showing him as in the Mortar Company of the 92nd Reserve Rifle Regiment, 13th Reserve Rifle Brigade, which lines up with him being a Mortarist during the First Battle Of Har'kov.
A tailor before the war.

Here are a couple of pictures of the chap.
Aviation collar insignia in the first picture, Tank in the second.
