Fake deputy of ___ badges

I'm not completely certain this is a copy of an original, but it seems as good a place as any to start a thread dealing with fake? local Soviet government badges. I've seen a startling rise in the number of these badges from the same Baltic region in the last year or so.

Are people actually copying these inexpensive badges or were there simply that many people on the local councils in the Baltic region?

Re: Fake deputy of ___ badges

The ones for sale in the Baltics are actually of good quality. That of course is no guarantee for being original, but still it has to be quite pricey to produce the nice enamel ones and sell them at almost-giveaway prices 5-10 USD on location, 15-20 USD on eBay. I would be more willing to accept the even cheaper cold enamel ones as copies, especially the ones of Ukrainan cities and villages.

Ukraine and Estonia seems to be most common, made in both hot and cold enamel and easily available in both - and also paint variations for Estonia, followed by Latvia and Russia (where Russia is usually cold enamel, cheaper production) and Lithuania (real enamel).
