The ugliest fake group I saw in years

"THERE ARE NINE MEDALS ON THE BAR, FOUR OTHERS AND TWO STARS

IT COULD COST SEVERAL THOUSAND $$$ TO ASSEMBLE THIS COLLECTION

THE BEST THING ABOUT THESE IS THEY ARE REPLICAS!

THESE WERE EXPERTLY MADE & HAND PAINTED BY SOMEONE IN A PRODUCTION HOUSE HERE IN LOS ANGELES IN THE EARLY 1980S FOR THE MOVIE "HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER"

NO I DON'T HAVE SEAN CONNERY'S AUTOGRAPH TO GO WITH IT!

ALL THE HANGERS AND RIBBONS ARE GENUINE

LOOK AT THE CLOSE UP PICS AND SEE THE EXCELLENT DETAIL THAT THESE HAVE!

THEY HONESTLY LOOK LIKE THE REAL THING! WITH GLASS OVER THEM IN A MOUNT BOX OR ON FILM!

PERFECT FOR DISPLAY OR RE"ENACTMENT!"

-------------------------------------

The current price is.................$100.00

Well I guess if they where really made for the movie the producer dosn't allow a lot of budget for the medal! The ordre of Lenin look so cheap!!! But the good thing is the guy who sell those dosn't try to sell them as original to a new collectors, he list them as fakes.

Considering "Hunt for Red October" was produced in 1990, there would be very little use to produce a group of bad copies 10 years in advance... and, the book appeared in 1984... WHY produce a fake group several years in advance before there even was a book! :D LOL

No folks, that guy is talking just a lot of bull****, the references to Red October are written just to make it more desired among movie geeks. :hurl:

Also, why would they make enlisted award Glories, a Tsarist George's Cross, and a police medal for navy personnel?

The most illogical thing is that, the film is describe as : In 1984, the USSR's best submarine captain in their newest sub violates orders and heads for the USA. Is he trying to defect, or to start a war?"

This submarine soldier must be very old to own a Tzarist award won before 1917 and still serve in 1984!!! :D

I may be wrong, but it does also look like the medal "For Restoration of Donbass" ... LOL, this is teh xxx

I dropped him a question just for fun about the age of these etc, this is what I got:

YOU ARE CORRECT ON THE DATES. IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT
WHEN I POSTED THIS ITEM. THEY MAKE MANY MORE PROPS FOR
A MOVIE THAN YOU EVER SEE IN THE FINAL CUT. THANKS
