Due to the front of this award being inscribed "Juche Physical Education" (주체체육) and "65th Anniversary" (65돐) it is frequently mistaken for a "65th Birthday Of Kim Il-Sung" Medal but it is not.

This is the Gold Medal for "Physical Education Tournaments (Destination Mangyeong)" ((만경대상)체육경기대회).
