OK, you got it, Clete. WOW for sure. Those are some great hats from some very senior guys.

Here is a photo from the other end of the hat spectrum.

I know there are some patterns in the budennovky (sp?). I can't explain them. I have it here in my hands looking at it under a good light and there simply are no patterns to be seen. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?

I'm not a hat or uniform collector but I do have several of each around here. Maybe I'll dig out a couple of hats and post them. I'll post another image of the budennovky, too.
