Here is the "Fatherland Defender Exemplary Soldier" Badge (조국보위 모범군인). The Badge is constructed from rather soft aluminium and the very crude design features the national flag, Mount Baekdu and extremely crude renderings of an Airman, Soldier and Sailor. The quality of this piece is probably the poorest of any DPRK award of any period.

Here is another which looks completely different. It may have been produced differently or just survived in very different conditions. It has a very fresher look and feel to it.
