Badge "World Exhibition Brussels 1958".
Picked up this nice little badge yesterday for 0.50 EUR.
Front side a picture of a large house, looks like a parliament building or something, above is Soviet flag and below is text BRUXELLES and URSS (Soviet Union in french). The enamel is beautiful. What happened 1958 in Bruxelles? On back side is L M D (Leningradskij Monetnij Dvor I assume) Height is about 2 cm, width 1 cm. |

World Exhibition 1958

the World Exhibition took place 1958 in Brüssel, Belgium. This is probably a badge from the Soviet pavillion. Eddie.

Eddie is right, here is the real pavilion.
Just to add that during this exhibition (Expo 58), Sputnik 2 et 3 have been launched. Models of the Sputniks have been presented inside of the Pavilion. Ch. |

Was it given to any visitor, like the pins that are given at fairs nowadays, or was it for the staff only? This would give a hint about the numbers issued.
