Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
In fighting 28-29 June 1942 as a gunner, Comrade Molchanov accurate fired upon the enemy, causing heavy enemy losses and panic.
Firing on direct lay, Comrade Molchanov destroyed three heavy machineguns, one mortar and its crew, five vehicles with their loads, 12 carts, and destroyed as many as 120 enemy soldiers and officers.
He is being recommended for the “For Bravery” Medal.
