Gold Star "Hero Of Uzbekistan".

Looks like the big pappa man of UZ, I. Karimov, just conferred the title of "Hero of Uzbekistan" on five people yesterday. It appears these awardings are similar to what you'd see for an HSL.

I have no idea what it looks like, but what do you want to bet that it's a star with a square suspension with ribbon containing the Uzbek national colors?

They were awarded for outstanding merits before the state and people in strengthening independence of our Homeland, consolidating its international authority, further deepening reforms, for many-years-long and heroic work in industrial and social spheres, big personal contribution in preserving and multiplying invaluable spiritual and cultural heritage of our people, nurturing comprehensively mature young generation, upbringing it in the spirit of patriotism and loyalty to its people it shall be conferred the rank “Uzbekiston Kahramoni” (‘Hero of Uzbekistan’) along with handing over the highest decoration – the “Oltin yulduz” (‘The golden star’) medal
