engineer-admiral of the 60'
hello gentlemen, here's a set I took 3 years to set up:
a 60' black engineer admiral parade jacket...heavy wooly cloth, but no traces of awards. It shows traces of ribbon bar. I discovered in Paris a visor cap with the intermediate crown, high quality embrodery and leather, etc... Please tell me if some would see details. I'd need advices from Doug, VVadim or vikingraider about one point: if the visor cap is well tuned to the jacket? Following 1959 reg book, the silver embrodery still existed for technical personnel. And it is only for rare justice, medical services... The gold bullion indicates a sea-going version...but it is correct for the jacket? thanks by advance for yours highlights!

technical admiral
I am not 100% sure i understand your question, but the hat and tunic go fine together. Engineer Admirals are not non-combat (i.e. silver insignia), but are combat ( i.e. gold insignia).

silver
Yes, basic rule is that silver is "non-combat", pretty much in all branches.
