Hello,
This one sold in Russia for $627 supposedly, looks interesting, does anyone have any ideas what this is for?

It looks like one of early Ukrainian award badges, before the consolidation to all-Union awards. Looks like it refers to a specific event (in January 1918?)

Hi Guys,

the badge is dedicated "To the heroes of the January events 1918 on the south west railroads".
It is very very rare and expensive.

regards
Andreas

If it's real!

Something tells me this is a modern made example. The Sun is goldplated but for a badge that is over 80 years old it seems to be in great shape! These rare badges are faked way too often.
