This medal is an obvious fake: shape of the ring, enamel, bumps on the rays, poorly defined edge, lack of details on the reverse (grass, soldier, etc). Most likely a cast fake; I even doubt if it is struck in silver, from the look of it. Marc |

I am very disappointed !
But was the first time that i saw this medal , and the desire to posses it won over the good sense !! In fact there where a lot of evidence !! The next time i will be more wise. Thanks |

You can clearly see the traces of the erased inscription.
The seller, however, states : "RARE Soviet Russian USSR medal: 40th Anniversary Victory in GPW - FOREIGN Variaton"
