Badge "Study Leninism".
Howdy. Looking for help from one of you guys with a badge book as I've drawn a blank online. I know this badge has to do with mining consortium but, after that, am not sure what it means or what time frame it dates from. Help!

It has nothing to do with mining consortium. :)
I think it is a Komsomol badge for the education if I'm right!

I've been wrong before
I was working off the letters in the middle. What you say makes sense with the open book on the badge. Thanks.

Yeah, its one of those komsomol, or pre-komsomol, pins. The lettering at the bottom translates to "studied." Given the book on the badge, I assume that it is a young communists' award for good grades, more or less.
Cool badge, btw. |

thanks for help
Any idea on when? 60's? 50's? earlier? The red of the star flouresces under blacklight like the epoxy repairs on some of my orders but the more orange background does not.

Jeffrey,
That would be early 30's as it is the time when KIM became VLKSM. Marc |

KOMSOMOL Badges
Hello Jeffrey, here is your badge.
It seems to be, that on the picture is no red enamel around the banner. Any translation help is welcome. regards Andreas |
