It seems that he was a 1925-born war participant (with both Germany and Japan) and in 1946 got a Red Star for wounds (shot wound to the arm in 1943).
It is not certain that it is the same man, but the age fits, branch fits and the fact, that he was already an officer and tank commander in 1946 seems to confirm that. The only other person by that name on pn. was an NCO from rifle unit. |
