Druzinnik Badge
Cleber,
You just answered your question: Druzhinnik is a Voluntary Police. The person on duty is wearing the Badge, so other "bad" people behave well when they see Druzinnik and know how important they are - Druzinniks or Police helpers. :) Eric |

Badge "Druzhinnik".
I don't know if it's the right forum, but what is this and does the document looks original?
In my Russian slovar Druzhinnik means : "Volontary member from the security service" Is that right? Would that be KGB or police helper? :) Thanks for your help!

This is a complete set.
It has nothing to do with KGB and more toward te MVD helper. Rusty.

Druzhinnik Badges
As there were several styles of these voluntary militia assistant badges, I thought I'd kick off a thread to give everyone a chance to post theirs.
This badge and doc came to me from Moscow. The badge is of the smaller variety, lapel size, and is of light alloy and paint. No green on the leaves here as on the larger version of the badge. No mint mark on this one, but I have seen the Pobeda factory mark on larger badges of this style. The doc has intentionally been obscured as the guy may still be among the living- fairly young when given this in 1977. I'm showing the front cover next to the left (photo) page of the inside.

Re: Druzhinnik Badges
Thanks for joining in Matteti. That's the first time I've seen "Pobeda" actually spelled out in a mint mark.

Re: Druzhinnik Badges
I had only seen a photo of this before in Rogov's book; that is, until I acquired this example. It's an award badge for an Outstanding Druzhinnink. I suppose it to be Russian rather than Ukrainian, but I base that solely on the fact that there's no YCCP anywhere and the Pobeda factory mark just visible (more visible when in hand) above the support ring on the back. Light alloy, paint and pin backed from, I suppose, the mid '70's through the end.
