I have some major reservations about this one.

The place of the mint mark worries me along with the braising around the post.
That said i do know very, very little about phaleristics in general

The screwback plate is light and indented, I've never come across this before.

I read up on the number range and found that it was just a few thousand lower than the first recorded long service award.

I was concerned by the "too good to be true factor" as well.

Does the number not kind of leap off the page a bit?

I can feel my spirits begin to rise...I might just have secured myself a fascinating bargain :D

I also have a Medal for Valiant Labor (1977) and 1985 OPW, both with order books for the same man, Anatoly Semyonovic Svyeshenok.
If they all hold true I will have a great bit of research to get stuck into!

Based solely on the photographs/scans provided, my best guess would be the screw post was repaired at some point, nevertheless it remains an original piece, in my opinion.
