"Fake" Marshal of USSR at e!

The picture says it all, marshal of USSR shoulderboards on a general or branch marshal tunic. Starts at 339 USD.

I e-mailed the seller about it and got a less than positive reply. Marshals and generals did not mix and match uniforms ( these boards don't even fit the tunic right!).

Its a common ( and dishonest) way to make a plain generals uniform more valuable.

It's a pity as well that a nice generals (or again, branch marshal) uniform is destroyed. In another auction he is selling a pair of "general of army" shoulderboards separately... I dont say they originate from that tunic, but they would have been a better match if he wanted to play a uniform puzzle and had these two pairs to choose from. :mad:
