I. Brief description of personal feat

During the decisive days of the preparation for breaking across the persistent and deeply protected enemy defense line in the region of Shidluv (Poland), Comrade Oberemok daily lead reconnaissance, thoroughly investigating the frontline borders and the location of the enemy’s fire positions. He delivered valuable information on the subject to the Commanders, thus contributing to the destruction of these fire positions on the break-through day 12.01.1945. The enemy, once knocked out from the fortifications, rolled back to the west. During the pursuit of the enemy, for all the period of the advancing battles on the territories of Poland and Germany in January-February 1945, Comrade Oberemok lead the Scout group and was always moving ahead of our infantry and machines battle formations, delivering on time information about everything noticed on the enemy’s territory. In the difficult practicability conditions of the woods of Germany the enemy not once planned to throw a surprise in order to hit our Corps and stop the advance of our army. However, the experienced eye of the Scout Oberemok always unveiled and cracked the malignant plans of the enemy in time, and by delivering this information to the commanders, he contributed to more successful outcomes of our combat missions in the fight with the enemy. Comrade Oberemok personally killed seven Germans and captured four.
For the good reconnaissance that contributed to the break-through of the enemy’s defense line, for the courage and bravery manifested in battles with enemy, Comrade Oberemok deserves the governmental award Order of Glory 3rd Class.
