Bashkirskaya ASSR was an autonomous Republic of the Russian Federation.

Comes with a document, which is very rare!!!
Issued on September 22, 1981 to Alexandr Vasilyevich Lopuhov.

Note the state crest of RSFSR on top of the document and on the Baskirskaya ASSR state seal.

One small subsection of these flags were standards of Islamic units that fought with the Reds.

This first example is for the 1st Bashkir Cavalry Regt. of the First Bashkir Division. This unit actually fought in Petrograd before being moved to central asia in 1920.

Note the islamic green color of the flag, the cresent moon, and red star. Islamic symbols such as this were done away with by 1922-1924.
