Space troops wings

Sat, 13 Dec 2008 20:35:19 +0000

Hi,

I'd like to get some general information about space troops wings. What exactly qualified as space troops? Pilots and ground crews? Technicians and scientists? Also, are they rare? Seem to be popping up pretty often. 'Course there are fakes floating around as well. They come in five classes (M, 1, 2, 3 and unmarked) right?

Regards,
Stah

Sputnik pins

Sun, 17 Sep 2006 23:34:35 +0000

How the Soviet beat the US to launch the first sattelite into orbit is amazing. I am sure there are hundreds of not thousands of different pins/badges out there to celebrate this achievement.

Here is a few of mine. The last one is a DDR May Day Badge.

I bought the Korolev medal - that was sold yesterday for $55.00 - for $40.00, which to me seems reasonable price for this medal.

The medal was issued in 1984, About 3500 were given.

I really don't get it: The seller who sold a lot of medals on ebay has sold 3 identical medals of Korolev. The first sold for $55.00, 24 Hours later I got one for $40.00 and today a third medal of the same kind was sold by the seller for $15.50.
