Here is an ORIGINAL Union Army "Pay Document" for the Regimental Quartermaster of the 1st Missouri Cavalry, Co. "F" and "S", JOHN C. CRANE. He signed this document, and was paid in Nashville, Tennessee. The dates on this Pay Voucher is: July 1st -to- July 31st, 1864.
NOTE: I believe this Union unit of soldiers were stationed in Nashville, TN to guard the rail roads ! (see image # 5)
In image # 6, QM John Crane was provided with a tall Black Servant, named JOHN, to help with his complexed military service life. QM John C. Crane's signature seen in photo # 7 & # 8.
