2 Vintage US Military Spoons 1 USN (Navy) -Army-Silverware:

There are two vintage United States military spoons. The largest which looks like a 8 1/4\" serving spoon is more of a yellow tone than the other 7\" spoon which is about the size of a soup spoon. The larger one is marked US and if I had to guess, it\'s probably from sometime around WWII. It\'s marked Elco on the back. It\'s almost twice the weight of the smaller one and is more of a yellowish color. My husband thought it might be made from \"German silver\" which is just an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc. It\'s known for its toughness, hardness and corrosion resistance. The smaller spoon is stainless steel and made by Reed and Barton.It is marked U.S.N.
