3 Original Rare WW2 Monte Cassino Cross 3 Carpathian Rifles Low Numbers:

3 Original Rare WW2 Monte Cassino Crosses awarded to Polish soldiers of 3 Carpathian Rifles who succeeded where other Allied Units failed in driving elite German Fallschirmjagers of the 1st Parachute Division from the ruins of Monte Cassino in May 1944.
Fewer than 50,000 of these Crosses were issued and awarded during the war. High quality construction, made in British Occupied Palestine, Modern day Israel.
Low Numbers on all crosses: 1489 which was awarded to an officer; 2294 and 6943 were awarded to other ranks of the Carpathian Rifles, one of the infantry units which bore the brunt of the fighting. At one time I had names associated with each cross. Over the years, I lost that document. Apparently, there is a master record kept by a Polish Veterans Group of Monte Cassino Crosses awarded to individual soldiers in certain units, including 3Carpathian Rifles. More information is available on the internet. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of those records; However, I can and will guarantee that these are original WW2 Numbered Monte Cassino Crosses.
