This product is a collection of 61 vintage WWII love letters from Pvt. Roy to his wife, Grace, in Detroit, MI. These original letters provide a unique insight into the emotional correspondence of soldiers during the World War II era, making them a valuable and historical collectible item. With the theme of militaria and the origin from the United States, these letters offer a heartfelt glimpse into the love and longing shared by soldiers and their families during this tumultuous time in history. The lot includes 56 letters, mostly 1944 and a few from1945, 2 postcards, 1 telegram and a mortgage note from 1942. There is also an envelope of medical bills dated 1964 so Roy must have made it back from the war. These letters are very touching and provide a glimpse into a very private world between this couple. The photo shown was inside the envelope with the mortgage note so don’t know if that’s Roy or not.
