Up for sale, is this authentic, M38 Fallschirmjäger helmet reproduction, painted in a three-color camouflage (tan, olive-green and reddish brown). I personally did the camouflage finish and although I might be biased, I think it’s beautiful and looks even better in person. The shell is from an unknown maker and it’s unstamped, but it’s of excellent quality. It is solid and heavy. The lines and angles are also excellent and are top-shelf in accuracy. Compare it to an original and it fares very well.


The liner is a size 59. I removed the spider foam, so that the helmet sits a little lower.


The chinstrap is the standard reproduction type and it has been aged to match the liner’s patina. The leather liner, although authentically perfect, has been very heavily aged and distressed, which has led to some a few small tears. All have been repaired and I have adjusted the price accordingly. That being said, the patina is fantastic.


There are some sort of tool marks in the front. Not very noticeable, but I should mention it.


I’m not aware any accurately shaped M38’s, shell size 71 reproductions, currently available. “WarHats” is sold out and “FJ Werke” is a complete gamble and a lengthy, aggravating wait at the very least. Grab this one while it’s still around.
