This is a terrific, believed to be, Ottoman Empire bronze shield. This is original to the time period with the exception of the back (fabric) believed to be refinished.
There is gold gilding present and visible in numerous areas.
It's a wonderful example of an ancient shield. Authentic examples of these shields are very hard to find.
Condition: Very good for it's age. The back fabric has been refinished and does not appear to be original.
Dimension: 16 1/2" in diameter
