Up for your condition is this highly desirable authentic artifact Civil War Eagle Breastplate. This buckle was recovered in Florida on private land with the owner's permission close to Fort Clinch, Florida.
This authentic civil war era buckle is a scarce early style Non-Commissioned Officers plate with evidence of the three hooks on the back. One hook is present.
Non-Commissioned Officers plates are much more scarce as than regular rank plates.
This remarkable plate has not been cleaned since it was recovered and is in original as found condition. The plate has a very beautiful light chocolate brown patina wth incredible details and contast and is complete with just enough evidence of ground excavation to show its many years spent buried until its discovery
The place comes in a beautiful glass topped display case with I.D. label.
