Confederate beveled edge style frame buckle, one of the most classic accoutrement plates of the Confederate enlisted man. This one took a severe, violent blow to the corner that was strong enough to bend the frame and one of the teeth back, possibly from a shell fragment. The frame has a nice, uncleaned brass patina and an old tape label “Petersburg, VA.” This is a really great, scarce Confederate relic.
