Gold Star Medal of Hero of theSoviet Union, REPRODUCTION.

Made in Gilded Brass. Unlikemost other replicas found on the market these days, this one is made of qualitymaterials, not of light weight metal or lead. Overall weight of the medalincluding suspension is 19 grams. The star is approx. 29 mm wide; itsdimensions, facets and the texture of the surface on the obverse are correctand make a very convincing impression. Just like the originals, the eyelet is aseparate piece soldered to the tip of the upper arm of the star.

The reverse does not have a serialnumber. The construction of the suspension is similar to the original overallalthough there was no attempt made to match it precisely. The screw plate iswithout mint logo.

This is not one of the officially authorized copiesproduced by the Soviet mint for movie studios and theatrical performances. Itsquality however is very close to the official replicas from the Soviet era.
