Greece: Medal for the Struggle for North Epirus 1936. 3rdclass blackened bronze medal awarded to Greeks that participated in theformation of the short-lived Autonomous Republic of Northern Epirus, and thosethat supported later Greek efforts to annex North Epirus into Greece. After the Greek defeat in the Greco-TurkishWar 1919-1922, North Epirus was returned to Albania. Medal in extremely fine condition; on original/oldribbon that has a trace of a rubber stamp on it (see Romanoff, Dimitri; The Orders, Medals and History of Greece(1987)pp. 148-149).
