Huge Collection Named US Army WW2 1st Armored Battle Of Anzio WIA Soldier!:
Huge Collection Named US Army WW2 1st Armored Battle Of Anzio WIA (3 times) Soldier! PFC Davis M. "Bull" Durham This is one of the most complete collections of WW2 items that you are ever going to have the opportunity to own! As I looked through all of these items I was amazed at how complete it is! Included are the Soldiers original medals including his Purple Heart (normally I will not sell these, but in this case felt it was important that it stayed with the collection). There is a small red cross pocket notebook detailing some of the combat in Anzio and the Rome areas including PFC Durham being injured by artillery! Also a Red Cross hospital flag that I believe came from one of the field hospitals that the PFC was a patient in. Three (yes 3!) scrap books filled with photos and news clippings throughout the war which were collected by the PFC! Uniforms including a tanker jacket and theater made vest! Numerous personal items like Stars and Stripes newspapers that he sent home so his Sister could save for him! His ammo belt - powerful to think of this Soldier removing magazines to load his rifle under fire to return fire at the Germans he refers to in his notebook! This is so complete that his footlocker is also included! List of included items: - Tanker jacket with 5th Army patch - M-1 Ammo belt - Alpaca lined vest - M1943 Field Jacket w/hood - 1 complete field uniform/ 1 field top - 2 Khaki summer unoform tops (1 with 1st armored/ 5th Army/ and combat stripe patches) - 2 Khaki Infantry garrison caps - Purple Heart in box (note where it was shipped home) - Bronze Star (name engraved) - WW2 Victory Medal in box - WW2 European Campaign Medal (3 campaign stars) in box - Army Good Conduct Medal in box - Thater made bullion Combat Infantry Badge - Italian (?)
