Maroon and Gold Officer's Campaign Hat Cord, Early 1920s Style, Item #2373:

This is an original Officer's Campaign Hat Cord that dates, because of its design, to the very early 1920s. All Officer's cords were private purchase at that time. Cords of this style for the US Army were either black and gold or black and silver, but this one is definitely gold and maroon. I can't find any information about US Marine Officer's cords, but I guess that is a possibility. Or perhaps a militia unit? This cord is in very good condition without any snags or fraying.
