Named WW2 Medal Grouping:

I have for sale an original named WW2 medal grouping (1980s reissue). The medals are WW2 but the boxes they come in are 80s dated. What more then likely happened is, the WW2 vet lost his medals at one point then in 1984 he ordered all the medals he lost. The medals I have in the grouping are a pacific campaign medal with bronze star, American campaign medal (still in original wrapping), victory WW2 medal (still in original wrapping), and good conduct medal plus two ribbons.

One being the Army Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon (still in wrapping). The other being the Philippine liberation ribbon. I even have the original cardboard box these medals were shipped in. The cardboard box dates to January 10 1984 and says U.S. army support active and looks like it was shipped to or from Philadelphia, pa. I tried to get a photo of the name on the back of the good conduct medal but kept coming out blurry (as you can see in photo). However, name is spells: Peter G. Rich This medal grouping was NOT a put together as I bought them directly from the son of the WW2 vet. I would like to sell these as they just sit in my closet all day and I would rather have a true ww2 collector enjoy these.

Here is some info on Peter G. Rich

Here is his obituary

I\'m unsure of the battles he was in however, we do know he at least fought in the Pacific theater and he took part in liberating the Philippines.
