Original USAAF WWII OD Crusher Bomber Pilot Cap E-Z Cushion 7 1/4USAAF WWII OD CRUSHER BOMBER PILOT CAP E-Z CUSHION RARE and AUTHENTIC, World War II era crusher-style visor cap as favoured by USAAF pilot officers. This cap is the winter issue made from 100% wool in Olive Drab (OD). As the cap has seen a lot of service, denoted by its crushed floppy appearance, it is not in pristine condition but it is still structurally firm and wearable. Indeed, the outside of the cap has weathered the years better than the interior.The leather sweat band stamped ‘E-Z CUSHION’, has broken free of its stitching in places and the material beneath the sweatband is frayed and stained. The early stiff plastic waterproof interior is still intact but very frayed. There is no size label, its approximately size 7 1/4. The cap bears the early war insignia spread-wing eagle with the oval-shaped field of stars above. See pictures for details.
