Up for sale is this fine German M98/05 Butcher Blade bayonet with matching numbers. Originally a sawback bayonet in WW1, they were ground down, blued and reissued to the police force after the war. This bayonet would have been used by a policeman during the Weimar period in Germany. Small Dent\'s in scabbard does not affect fit when blade is secured blade has storage marks most of the blueing remain and the scabberd has the ware from being cared most of the paint on the scabberd still remain thow. Bayonet is very clean and presents wonderfully. This bayonet has a matching numbers scabberd, it has the VHTF dated 1918 W under crown stamped blade with the F. W. Holler makers mark, Very nice and rare. Must be at least 18 years old to purchase this item. Thanks for looking and good luck.
