All of my 101st helmets were bought from chris Anderson in 2007. The following description within quotation marks is his:

\"WW 2 US M1 HELMET W/ LINER AND EARLY NET COVER,Headquarters/ 327th Glider Infantry Regiment.This helmet and liner is identified to a soldier named Sommers (Somers) from OxfordMichigan who was killed in action on 9/19/44 near Veghel. He is buried inMaagraten Cemetery. The helmet has the original Normandy era net on it.\"

If the Faint 84B Number is correct this is an Early 1942 made helmet. Soldier is Howard L. Somers of Oakland County Michigan.
