Presented for sale is an early American US militia presentation quality Eagle head militia sword. Made by Ames Mfg. Co. in Chicopee Massachusetts. Ames Mfg Co. Chicopee Mass. is engraved on the blade. A wonderful presentation quality piece this sword has an eagle pommel with mother of pearl grips. I believe years ago the entire sword had a gold wash. Overall the sword is in fine condition. Overall the scabbard is in fine condition with some signs of use. Sword in scabbard is approx. 37 3/4"in length. The sword overall length of approx. 36 3/4". Description Presented for sale is an early American US militia presentation quality Eagle head militia sword.  Made by Ames Mfg. Co. in Chicopee Massachusetts.  Ames Mfg Co. Chicopee Mass. is engraved on the blade.
