The Introduction of the book is by H. A.McClure, Captain, U.S.N., Commander, N. T. S., Norfolk, Virginia. He gives abrief bio of the author, a Russian immigrant, and a description of theseriousness of the training of new recruits for preparation active duty duringWorld War II. He also mentions how the element humor should not be overlookedwhich are displayed in the numerous cartoon drawings. The Introduction mentionsthat “The characters portrayed are real people”

This is really a special WWII Era book, trulyrare with the signatures. It is hard to imagine all the experiences that thesemen must have had during WWII. It will be a welcome to your collection.

The book measures circa 7 x 9 ½ inches, not paginated [34 pages], bound in navy blue illustrated paper covered boards, faint wear to tips otherwise in very good condition, binding is tight and intact, clean, odor free. Dust jacket is present with a few chips and closed tears at the extremities.
