German-Soviet Friendship (OGSD) (German: Gesellschaft für Deutsch-Sowjetische Freundschaft, DSF) is a mass organization in the German Democratic Republic, which aimed at deepening the knowledge of citizens of the GDR about the Soviet Union. She was part of the League of Friendship of Peoples.
The society was created on July 2, 1949 from the Society for the Study of Culture of the Soviet Union (Gesellschaft zum Studium der Kultur der Sowjetunion) and was the second largest mass organization of the country after the union of trade unions. About 6 million people were members of the organization.
A similar organization was formed in West Germany in September 1950, but it was banned in 1955. In West Berlin, there was a Deutsch-Sowjetische Freundschaftsgesellschaft.
