US Civil War Infantry Sword 1861. This sword is in pretty good condition overall with a nice patina on the blade that was hard to capture with my phone camera. There is one pic that captures this patina nicely. The edges are smooth with the exception of maybe one very minor nick that\'s barely worth mentioning and can barely be felt sliding your finger across the blade edge. The tip is really the only place that has very slight rust and minimal pitting (keep it oiled and it will be fine). The braided wire on the handle has come undone and could probably be repaired with patience and skill. The blade measures 343/4\" long and 1 and 1/16\" wide at the hilt. It\'s in good solid condition with nothing loose but the wire on the handle. Questions are welcome sold as is with no returns. It\'s hard to see but the date stamped on it says US 1861.
