Thisis the Official U.S.S. Nautilus Launching Day Program published by the GeneralDynamics Corporation to commemorate the christening by Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhowerand launching into the Thames River.

Illustratedthroughout with numerous b&w photos accompanied by descriptive by text.

Withthe Program are 2 enclosure sheets from the Electric Boat Division of GeneralDynamics Corporation. One is a letter from Division Manager to the “Fellow Employees” inviting them to attend the historic launching and to bring the invitationcard. The invitation card is not present.

Theother enclosure is the Information Sheet from the Industrial RelationDepartment regarding the order of exercises and parking info.

Thelaunching day program measures 10 x 11 ¾ inches, stapled binding, illustratedprinted wrappers, not paginated [28 pages including coves], light edge wear anda little very faint staining to the covers otherwise in very good condition,binding tight and intact, clean.

Theoriginal mailing envelope is in fair condition with chipping and creasing tothe closure flap and some staining to the envelope.

The2 enclosure sheets are creased as issued otherwise in very good condition.

Theseare truly rare pieces of Nautilus Submarine ephemera and will be a welcomeaddition to your collection, could find no other copies available at any on or at on-line bookseller sites.
