Vintage WW2 US Military Panoramic Telescope M12A 7D Howizter M101A1 Artillery SightThe M12A7 Series Panoramic Telescopes were used in conjunction with numerous field artillery pieces and various armored vehicles, to include the M101A1 Howitzer.
Typically used for laying the weapon in azimuth for indirect fire and if necessary, the panoramic telescope could be put into service for direct fire operation. This scope raises the line of sight and maintains an upright image in any direction: forward, to the side, or to the rear of the observer. The rotating head of the instrument and subsequently the line of sight may be rotated 6,400 mils in the horizontal plane.This scope is in very good used condition: optics are clear, the knobs and all moving parts seem to function as intended.A very cool piece of artillery history for your man cave or for re-enactments.Ships via USPS medium flat rate box.Thanks for looking and have a great day!
