Vtg WWII US Pepsi Cola Personal Message From A Service Man Record & Envelope:
$14.99

This is really something special. This is a recording of a serviceman from WWII. The record has printed on one side that Pepsi-Cola centers for service men and women were located in Times Square, DC and San Francisco. The Pepsi centers offered free shaves, showers and checking accounts, as well as lounges, reading and writing centers, free Pepsi, low cost sandwiches....I think each center offered something different. This record was mailed to someone in Green Bay for 1.5 cents. The record has the original cardboard envelope (BUT it\'s missing its\' flaps) and sleeve. The last two photos are trying to show that there are striations in the plastic the record was made of and it might not play very well, if at all. They are acting like cracks on the plastic. I see two center post holes in the record, so I think it might have played on 45 or 78 speed. NO GUARANTEE that this will play. The history printed on the record alone is worth having, though. Winning buyer pays $4.90 shipping and handling for US sales. Always happy to combine shipping. Thanks for looking, and good luck! (g)
