Original Civil War W. Walscheid M1840 \"Old Wristbreaker Cavalry Sword with nice honest patina and service wear. W.Walscheid was located in Solingen, Prussia and was only in business during Civil War Time Years for US Contracts. Most of the original wrap and wire are intact. The brass handle and pommel are tight to the blade and have a matching aged patina. The blade is full length with very minimal nicks from service. Has the W. Walshceid Maker Mark on one side and blank on the reverse. An overall really nice example of a workhorse sword in the American Civil War. Please see all photos
