The WASP pilot’s flew over 60 million miles, transported every typeaircraft and each WASP freed up an AAF Pilot for duty. They also towed targetsfor live fire. 38 WASP members lost their lives. More than 25,000 women appliedfor the WASP but only 1830 were accepted. Out of this total only 1074 earnedtheir wings. This is a full colored breast patch and measures 4 ½ inches indiameter.
