First introduced in 1847, theWürttemberg belt buckle was used by personnel of enlisted ranking.Originally these were produced in a 50mm width until 1895, whenthe width wasreduced to 45mm. They were made of brass with a nickel/silver face plate, until 1914, when production changed to steel.
Made of steel, this M1895 Bavarian BeltBuckle is in FANTASTIC used condition! Retaining 95% original paint, there are some slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. It clearly features the motto of the Kingdom of Württemberg, "Furtchlos Und Trew" (Fearless and Loyal)surrounding a crown in the center.Similar to the WW2 version, it has a raised catch and dual prong to attach toa leather belt. Approx. 45mm wide. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!Titles of Distinction
