WW2 US Army Ike Jacket 106th Cavalry Group / 26th Division:

This listing is for an original WW2 U.S. Army, 106th Cavalry / 26th Division Ike jacket. The jacket is unnamed and exhibits alot of wear.

The jacket is a size 40 and has corporal's chevrons on each sleeve, and 2 overseas bars reflecting 12 months overseas (sewn on the wrong sleeve). The collar brass are stamped brass with the appropriate flat clutches. The 106th patch is theater made, embroidered silk and it's placement on the right sleeve indicates the soldier saw combat with the 106th Cavalry Group. The 26th Division patch indicates that at some point prior to discharge at the end of the war, he served with the 26th. It also has the ruptured duck discharge patch above the right pocket.

PLEASE NOTE: When I acquired this jacket 4 or 5 years ago, the 26th Division patch and the ruptured duck were literally falling off the jacket. Pictures 23 and 24 show their condition at that time. I restitched those so they didn't fall completely off. Otherwise this has not been messed with or altered.

The jacket is in fair condition. There are a lot of moth holes and some stains. 2 of the buttons have fallen off, but one of them was in a pocket and is included.  There is also some fraying to the right edge of the 106th patch.

Even with the condition issues, 106th Cavalry jackets are very rare due to the unit's small size.

Buyer to pay $13 shipping. Sold as is, no returns.
