Up for sale is a restored front seam swivel bale M1 Helmet. The helmet shell is an original that was restored by J.Murray 1944, who does some of the best restoration work on American WW2 helmets and appears to be marked 89A? The marking is very faint on the inside of the steel shell but I tried to photograph it. The liner is also a restored original, being made by MSA during the war and again restored as an early to mid war liner. The liner chinstrap has the early green flat tipped buckle as well as OD 3 webbing for the suspension and helmet chinstrap. This helmet also includes the classic 1/4\" helmet net and scrim, as was worn by some infantry units during D-Day, and would make a perfect display or reenactor piece. I have tried to photograph all of the important bits for potential buyers but if you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you for looking.
