This beautiful WWII enamel and gold plated pin was made for The British War Relief Society by Cartier of new York. It was designed and made for the umbrella organization BWRS in 1941 to coordinate the efforts of many grassroots groups in the U.S. already in existence for providing aid for the British people who were under siege by Nazi Germany by that time, The badge shows the the British lion superimposed on the British Union crest. Along with a white banner inscribed with BRITISH WAR RELIEF SOCIETY. The pin has a locking swivel catch. It is in Excellent condition. It is 1.75" x 1.25".
