WWII Letters Lot from Soldier in Lake Field Arizona - Lot 16:
$61.00

This is a lot of 16 WWII Letters- all from the same Soldier named Edward J Marsett. Also comes with some typed editorials and stories he wrote, plus some poems.

The letters are all written to his friend Ivan Hale in the US. Ivan Hale numbered the letters and saved them and I got them from his estate.

I think these letters are mostly from the Lake Field Army Base in Arizona. The dates seem to be June 1942 to March 1943.

Eddie writes about spending lots of time flying at night. And he wants to be a writer-- several of his stories and writings and poems about the war are included.

He writes about missing seeing Paul Robeson perform at the the base because he had to fly that night. He did go see a Fred Rogers movie later though.

He writes about the life in the Army Base but also--he is very imaginative. In some letters he writes about the nice drink he is having and what the cabin he wants to build after the war, etc.

Please check images for condition details and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
